Calf barn with fix installed boxes

In order to raise calves successfully, management must be optimally coordinated in terms of housing, feeding and health.
One possibility is the calf barn with permanently installed calf boxes and subsequent housing in group pens. The design of the barn and the construction of the boxes ensure an optimal exchange of air. This can considerably reduce the germ load and thus significantly improve the health of the calves.

Keeping calves up to the age of 10 - 12 weeks in fixed calf boxes

  • Good stable overview
  • Removable walls make group stalls possible quickly and easily
  • Calves can be kept in the calf boxes until weaning
  • Can be combined with automatic feeding systems
  • Easy and quick cleaning due to almost complete disassembly of the boxes
  • The calf boxes are mounted on two fixed bases, which serve as a sliding edge during mechanical manure removal.

Keeping in group pens from the 8th week of life until approx. 6 months

  • The critical transition phase is facilitated by a constant stable climate
  • Calves can be fixed by a self-locking feed front
  • Automatic drinking or drinking trough suckler buckets at the feed front is possible
  • Two-room deep-pen barn with paved floor and straw
  • Quick manure removal by one person with yard loader
